About this product

Thick Gauge & Jazz Picks

Thin picks flex, and that flex is what turns six strings into a wash of chord. Thick picks do not flex, so all of the energy goes into the string and none into the plastic. That is why lead players use them and why a strummer usually hates them.

The small jazz shapes take it further: less material means less to twist in the fingers, so the point sits exactly where the player put it. Combined with a heavy gauge it is the most controlled thing you can put between a hand and a string.

The number is what matters and the word does not. “Heavy” covers a very wide range depending on the brand, so we quote in millimetres and we will print the gauge on the pick if you want it — which is genuinely useful on a merch pick, because a player who likes it can reorder the right one.

FAQ

Thick Gauge & Jazz Picks: quick answers

What is the minimum order for thick guitar picks?
Minimum order is just 12 — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.
How fast will my order arrive?
Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and the finished order ships in about 2 weeks — express turnaround is available for tight dates.
What gauge should we order?
If it is for strumming, thin or medium; if it is for single-note playing, heavy. And ask for the number in millimetres rather than the word, because “medium” covers about 0.6mm to 0.88mm depending on whose bag it came out of.
Should we print the gauge on the pick?
On a merch or shop pick, yes. A player who liked it can then reorder the right one instead of guessing, and it costs nothing to add. It is the single most useful thing you can put on a pick after the name.
