A thin pick flexes. A thick one does not. Everything follows from that.
Customized Guitar Picks makes picks to order — celluloid, nylon and Delrin, thick and jazz gauges, printed promotional runs, laser-engraved metal and hardwood keepsakes, and the tins, punch cards and header packs they sell in.

The flex is the product. A thin pick gives under the strings, and that give is what turns six notes into the wash of a strummed chord. A thick pick does not give, so every bit of the energy goes into the string and the note arrives sharp and exactly where it was aimed.
They are two different tools for two different jobs, and the word on the packet does not tell you which one you have. “Medium” covers roughly 0.6mm to 0.88mm depending on whose bag it came out of.
So we quote in millimetres, and we will print the number on the pick if you want it — which is genuinely useful on a shop or merch pick, because a player who liked it can reorder the right one instead of guessing.
Why we exist
Promotional picks are sold on a print area and a unit price, and everything that makes a pick good or bad is left out of the conversation.
The material changes the sound more than the shape does. Celluloid is warm, familiar and wears fastest. Nylon is quieter on the attack and grips a hand that has been under stage lights for forty minutes. Delrin is brighter, slicker and outlasts everything. Ultem is hard and clicks. Those are audible differences, and almost nobody selling a promo pick mentions any of them.
And the thing nobody says at all: print on a pick wears exactly where the pick is used.
What we actually make
Celluloid in stated millimetre gauges, printed both faces. Nylon and Delrin for grip and for durability. Thick gauges and small sharp jazz shapes for players who want control rather than wash. Printed promotional runs at volume, sold with the wear conversation had up front. Laser-engraved metal and hardwood picks for keepsakes and favours. And the tins, punch cards and header cards that turn a handful of picks into merch.
Everything is quoted with the material named and the gauge in millimetres.
What we do not make
Drumsticks, vinyl records, straps, capos or cases. Different manufacturing entirely, and there are people who do each of them properly.
And we will not tell you a printed pick lasts for ever. It does not, if anybody plays it.
The print will wear off. Here is where.
A pick has two surfaces under constant abrasion: the strike edge, which is being dragged across wound steel strings, and the face, which is under a thumb that is pressing hard. Those are exactly the two places the printing is.
On a pick that is genuinely played, expect faint in weeks and blank in months. On a pick that lives in a wallet or on a shelf, expect it to last indefinitely.
For a merch-table giveaway that is completely fine, and arguably it means somebody used it. For an anniversary gift it is the wrong process entirely, and the answer is laser engraving cut into metal or wood. We ask which one you are making before we quote.
How we price
No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with the material, the gauge, the print coverage, the packaging and the quantity. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.
On artwork
A pick is about twenty-nine millimetres across, which is a very small canvas. Fine detail and small type do not survive it, so we redraw free and send a proof at actual size rather than enlarged — enlarged proofs are how people approve artwork they cannot actually read.
Anything that will not fit belongs on the card or the tin instead: the gauge, the material, a website, a QR code.
